BLS - Basic Life Support Class
A Basic Life Support (BLS) class is a training program designed to equip individuals with essential skills for responding to medical emergencies, particularly those involving cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. Participants learn how to recognize the signs of an emergency, perform high-quality chest compressions, and effectively use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
The curriculum covers adult, child, and infant CPR techniques, the importance of early defibrillation, and how to assist choking victims. The class includes both theoretical instruction and practical hands-on training, allowing participants to practice skills on CPR manikins and AED devices.
Following the practical components, a written test will assess participants’ understanding of the material covered during the lecture and hands-on training.
